Liferay Installation Steps
Go to
Developers in menu
Click on
Downloads link here
If we want
to download the latest version download directly otherwise scroll down and
select other versions. Here we can select the Bundle with Tomcat. After completion
of download extract the zip file and we will start the configuration.
By
default liferay provides Ant which is helpful for auto deployment.
Eclipse:
Eclipse is
an open source community, whose projects are focused on building an extensible development
platform, runtimes and application frameworks for building, deploying and
managing software across the entire lifecycle.
We can downloaded
the eclipse from the below link
After
downloading the eclipse just extract the zip file
Open the eclipse select the
workspace location where your project is going to store.
Create
shortcut and paste it in desktop
Click
ok
We can
download Liferay IDE also from liferay.com. If we are using eclipse we need to
add plugin from market place to eclipse.
Here we have
search option just give liferay and click on install
Once installed
you can see the below screen after selecting liferay perspective from Window open perspective others Liferay
(Or)
Right corner you can select Liferay
